The Law of Attraction gets a lot of attention, thanks largely to the book and film by Rhonda Byrne The Secret. What most people don’t actually realise is that the Law of Attraction is in fact only one piece of the puzzle with there being 12 Universal Laws, not just the one.
The Secret bought the Law of Attraction to the forefront and into the mainstream and since watching the film or reading the book many of us have tried to harness its principles to manifest things that we want into our lives, with varying levels of success for the majority.
Working with the Law of Attraction on its own as a standalone law is like trying to catch a fish with no bait on the end of the fishing line – you may get there but it will take you a very long time with no direction and no clear path.
If however you can get to grips with all 12 universal laws then your path to the life you want to live becomes much clearer and much easier to actually walk.
My advice here is to have a partial understanding of all of the laws and how they work together, you don’t have to be an expert to use them in your own life, but at the very least know they exist and know how they all build on each other to encapsulate the success you want to bring into your world.
In my personal experience, these laws have helped me to come to terms with everyday life situations when things don’t appear to be working out for me the way I envisaged them or they have helped me to reframe things to gather a much broader understanding of why they may be happening.
It’s important here to note that like anything in life, we need to keep our minds open, and remember that knowledge and understanding are ever-changing and expanding.
These 12 Universal Laws are a combination of science, spirit, and metaphysics, so keep an open mind as we go through them one by one.
Last week’s blog post covered the first 3 laws – The Law of Divine Oneness, The Law of Vibration and The Law of Correspondence and this week will cover off the next three. So read on…..
The Law of Action – #4
So many spiritual and Manifestation teachers forget this law but to me it is one of the most important of all the laws because it is actually a part of how we manifest, so by missing it out you actually create resistance which stops anything from manifesting.
The Law of Action simply tells us that we must take physical action in order to create or have the material manifestation of the thing that we want.
We can all visualise and chant and meditate and script and have a million dream boards all over the house, and don’t get me wrong these are all amazing tools to know about in manifesting, BUT when you actually DO something (taking action through the Law of Action) you will manifest quicker and easier and with less resistance than without taking action.
One thing to keep in mind here is that you need to make the action piece inspired action. Inspired action trumps random action any day of the week so this laws reminds us to pat close attention to the downloads, the nudges, the bread crumbs that are always being dropped to us by our guides, our non-physical teams, to guide us about our next best steps.
So while the vibrational aspect (the Law of Vibration) is a big piece of the manifesting puzzle, for actual results to form you HAVE to take action.
Your desires are brought to you via thought, and you receive them by deciding to take action

My Advice when considering this law:
Sometimes even the smallest action will open you up to bigger opportunities and bigger creations.
The smallest, most insignificant of actions can lead to something that moves you closer and closer to your ultimate goals.
The action may not always be obvious so get in to the habit of asking your guides “what is my next best step to take” and then being aware of the answers that are being given to you.
Use your intuition and don’t over-think it or let your ego get in the way of the answers.
The Law of Cause and Effect – #5
The Law of Cause and Effect (also known as Karma) states that what you do to others will basically come back to you in some way, that you reap what you sow. So this law is reminding us that whatever seeds we plant unto the ground of our minds doesn’t actually matter. It will grow and it will be experienced in our outer world.
The universe actually has no judgment and no preference as to what grows so it is up to us to make sure that what we are thinking and where we are putting our attention is actually on things that we perceive to be positive for us.
Basically, if you are unhappy or unsatisfied with what you are experiencing in your worlds it might just be time to check in on the seed and ask yourself what are you planting into the ground of your mind?
Are your thoughts and our actions positive or negative, inspired or full of worry and stress?
Are you always thinking about what goes wrong and what you don’t have enough of or are you staying upbeat and positive and grateful for what you do have?
If you spend your time gossiping and talking negatively about other people, or yourself, that is what you will experience more of in your physical life so chose your words and your thoughts carefully from now on.
My advice when considering this law:
Use this law as the catalyst to take a good hard look at your intentions, your thoughts and your actions in your day to day life because these have ALL contributed to what you’re experiencing right now and the life you are living.
If you are not happy or where you want to be then know that you can make better choices and if you are mindful and can pause before you make the same mistake watch as all the negative circumstances suddenly turn positive.
Knowing that whatever you sow you will reap allows you the space to make sure you’re focusing on the harvest that you actually WANT, not what you don’t,
The Law of Attraction – #6
This is the big one, this is the one that we have all heard of, this is the one that we ALL want to learn about and know about and bring into our lives BUT this is just one piece of the whole puzzle.
The Law of Attraction simply put means that like attracts like. It is very similar to the Law of Cause and
Effect in that the Universe doesn’t care what you are putting your energy into with this law, it will work for you each and every time you use it AND we are all using it each and every day most of the time without even realising.
So if the premise of like attracting like is true then positive energy will attract positive energy and negative
energy will attract negative energy. Positive things and thoughts will attract more positive things and thoughts and negative ones will do the same.
If your reality is filled with things that you don’t actually want this does not mean that you are a bad person or that you somehow deserve bad things happening to you, all it means is that you have been filling your mind and your world with thoughts and feelings that are not serving you.
Knowing this, you can choose again, you can choose better, you can change the thought patterns (using the Law of Correspondence) and break the overarching patterns that have become your normal which is why a lot of manifestation teachers will use things such as affirmations and incantations to train you to think new more empowering thoughts.
My advice when considering this law:
You deserve better, we all deserve better, we all deserve to live the life of our dreams so use the Law of Attraction to check in with yourself and see what kind of energy you’re sending out into the universe.
Check in with your thoughts, check in with your feelings, and also with your actions.
Are they positive or do you have a tendency to be down on yourself, pessimistic and caught up in the negative cycles of of stress and worry and anger and pain?
Wherever they are right at this minute that is the life you will be experiencing so use this as your reminder to chose again, to choose better, to chose optimism and joy and love. Change your thoughts to change your life using the Law of Attraction.
